The beta was a taste of what kind of hell could break loose when it is finally released. Blizzard has already given word that it will come in early 2012 and we're crossing our fingers that they do not push the release back.
If you're wondering why we would call this an MMO, you will have to know that the game itself encourages a lot of online multiplayer elements: The ability to join in and out of public games, help friends with their quests, get friends to help you with your quests and even a full feature on selling items and loot you find online.
Taking on hell and all of its minions begins in 2012 - a good thing if that's the year the world will end.
