Dragon Nest: Our take on the Academic Class
The Academic is the newest character on Dragon Nest SEA is by far the youngest looking class in the game. It was difficult to bring ourselves to name our character appropriately without trying our hands at using the name JailBait. This of course was denied by the game.
The story behind the Academic's youthful exterior is the fact that she was struck by lightning somehow and her physical body stopped growing (lucky her?). You might think so, her youthful features does not do justice to the amount of firepower she packs in her arsenal.
The Academic loves technology it seems and she has herself knee deep in cutting edge future weaponry and they include over-sized cannons, turrets and a big robot. At level 15, you get to decide which of the two paths she will take, Engineer or Alchemist.
If you love robots and all sorts of interesting gadgets, the Engineer might tingle your sensation receptors. This path allows the academic to summon mechanical robots, mines and other explosive gadgets of sorts to crush her enemies with.
If that's not quite your thing, there's always the Alchemist that deals with unstable chemicals and such to create slimes that does an area damage or inflict elemental, physical and poison damage to enemies. Those chemicals heal allies too.
What's the core difference between the two paths? Engineers carries a cannon as a mainhand and has a larger physical attack damage than magic damage. The Alchemist is just about the direct opposite who carries a Bubble gun and destroys enemies wih a larger amount of magic damage.
So that's a quick wrap of the new Academic class. To those who has been Dragon Nesting, how do you find this new class?
